If a scan completes but shows no new findings, or shows an error, work through these checks.
Checks for a failed or empty scan
- Check connection health in Systems. A scan can't read from a system that's disconnected or unauthorised.
- Check the scan's intake summary for a specific error message.
- Confirm there's actually something new to find. If nothing has changed since the last scan, zero new findings is the correct result, not a failure.
- If a connected system enforces rate limits, a large or frequent scan may be partially throttled. See Scan limits, rate limits and large-site behaviour.
- Try running the scan again manually. A transient failure in a connected system often resolves on retry.
When a scan fails repeatedly
If a scan keeps failing after these checks, contact support with the scan's date and the connected system involved.
