When granting an exception, you can set an expiry date instead of leaving it open-ended.
What happens at expiry
Re-checked on the next scan or preflight run
Once an exception expires, the associated content is checked against the rule again on the next relevant scan or preflight run. If it still matches, a new violation is created, exactly as if no exception had ever been granted.
Why use a time limit
A time-limited exception is useful when you know a piece of content is temporary, for example, a seasonal promotion, and you want the rule to apply again automatically once that content should no longer be live.
