The four rule types
Launch supports several rule types, each suited to checking for a different kind of pattern.
- Banned term — Flags specific words or phrases that shouldn't appear.
- Required language — Flags content missing a required phrase, such as a disclaimer.
- Terminology — Flags inconsistent naming, such as an old product name instead of the current one.
- Pattern match — Flags content matching a broader structural pattern, such as a claim format.
Matching the type to what you are catching
Choosing the right type for what you're trying to catch makes a rule easier to maintain and less likely to generate false matches.
