Someone left the company, the handover checklist

Last reviewed Sep 6, 2026

When someone leaves your organization, a short, ordered process keeps their campaigns and approvals from being silently orphaned.

The handover checklist

  1. Reassign any campaigns they own to a new owner, before removing them.
  2. If they held Brand approver or Legal approver, reassign or escalate anything currently in their approval queue. See Escalating or reassigning an approval.
  3. If they held Owner, transfer ownership to someone else first; this role can't simply be removed. See Transferring workspace ownership.
  4. Remove them as a team member. See Removing a team member, and why not in bulk.
  5. Confirm their access to any connected systems outside Launch is revoked separately, since disconnecting them from Launch doesn't affect their access elsewhere.

What stays in Logs after they're removed

Their historical actions remain in Logs exactly as recorded, since log entries are never edited or reattributed after someone leaves.
