If Slack notifications from Launch feel like too much, adjusting routing or your own preferences is usually a better fix than disconnecting Slack entirely.
Options to reduce noise
Three levers, from routing to personal preferences
- Narrow which event types are routed to Slack at all, in the connection's Routing tab.
- Move noisy event types to a dedicated channel your team can check on their own schedule, rather than a heavily trafficked one.
- Adjust your own notification preferences if the noise is specific to you rather than the whole team. See Choosing what you're notified about.
Why disconnecting is the wrong lever
Disconnecting Slack removes all routing for everyone in the workspace, not just the noisy parts, so it's rarely the right first step.
