"You don't have permission to do that", what to ask for

If Launch tells you that you don't have permission for an action, the fastest path forward is identifying exactly what's missing, rather than assuming you need an entirely different role.

Work out what to ask for

1. Check the permission matrix to see which role includes the action you were trying to take.
2. Confirm whether that's a role you need added to your existing one, rather than a full replacement. See Having more than one role at once.
3. Ask your workspace's Owner or Admin to add the specific role, referencing the exact action you need.

Why a specific request works better

Being specific about the action, rather than asking for broader access in general, makes it easier for an Admin to grant exactly what's needed without over-extending your permissions.
