Permissions and scopes Launch asks for, and why

Last reviewed Sep 6, 2026

When you connect a system, Launch requests specific permissions, called scopes, from that system. These vary by system, but follow the same underlying principle.

What Launch asks for

Read access for discovery, and for checks

  • Read access to the data Scan needs to discover campaigns, such as active ads or CRM records.
  • Read access to the data Preflight needs to evaluate requirements, such as pricing fields or tracking configuration.

What Launch doesn't ask for

Launch doesn't request write access to make changes inside your connected systems, and doesn't request access to unrelated data the system holds. If a specific connection's authorization screen shows a scope that seems broader than expected, that's worth reviewing with your system's own documentation before authorizing.
