Step 2: Letting Scan run its first scan

Last reviewed Sep 6, 2026

Once your first system is connected, Scan starts its first scan automatically. You don't need to trigger it yourself.

What happens during a scan

Scan reads your connected system and, where relevant, your public web presence, to build a list of campaigns it finds. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to longer, depending on how much Scan has to look through.

What to expect afterward

When the scan completes, you'll see a list of findings in Scan. Each finding represents something Scan believes is a campaign. At this stage, nothing has been added to your Launches list yet. Findings need to be reviewed and confirmed first.

Surprises in a first scan are normal

It's normal for a first scan to surface things you didn't expect, old landing pages, paused campaigns, forgotten pixels. That's Scan doing its job.
