Closing a violation records that you believe the issue is fixed. Verifying goes a step further, confirming Launch itself no longer detects the violation at its source.

Verify a fix

Running the re-check

1. Open a closed violation.
2. Click Verify.
3. Launch re-checks the source for the same pattern.
4. Review the result: confirmed fixed, or still detected.

Why verify separately from closing

A violation can be closed based on a fix you made, but verifying gives you an independent, system-checked confirmation rather than relying only on your own judgment that the fix worked.
